Wangari Muriithi serves as a Program and Monitoring Assistant at The Toolkit for Skills and Innovation, a digitally innovative social enterprise focused on skilling youth and linking them to employment or entrepreneurship opportunities through life skills, digital literacy, and technical trades. With over four years of experience in program management, implementation support, and monitoring, Wangari is passionate about driving sustainable initiatives that expand access to opportunity and empower underserved communities.
Current Role & Contributions
In this role, Wangari plays a key part in coordinating technical training initiatives, in Solar PV installation, and MIG/MAG welding. She assists with planning and logistics, tracking project progress, and collecting data to measure program effectiveness. By supporting implementation and ensuring accurate reporting, she maintains the quality and impact of training programs designed to improve employment outcomes for youth, refugees, and women. Her work also involves engaging with donors, community partners, trainers, and participants to ensure smooth delivery and follow-up.
Professional Background
Wangari holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the United States International University (USIU) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Programme and Project Management from the University of Warwick. Her academic background has equipped her with strong competencies in global development, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.
Professionally, Wangari is deeply committed to inclusive and sustainable development, with a focus on programs that enhance economic opportunities and build resilience among underserved populations.
