Toolkit Shines with Tujiajiri Mentorship Program for Solar Energy Trainees 

The Toolkit Skills & Innovation Hub has long been a beacon of hope for young Africans seeking to build careers in the renewable energy sector. Recently, the hub’s impact was further amplified through its partnership with the KCB Foundation and the Tujiajiri Mentorship Program, which provided invaluable support and training to a cohort of aspiring solar energy professionals. 

The Tujiajiri program, which translates to “empower yourself” in Swahili, was a highlight of Toolkit’s solar energy training initiatives. It brought together a group of talented individuals who had already completed their technical skills development at the hub, equipping them with the business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset necessary to thrive in the industry. 

“The Tujiajiri program was a game-changer for us,” shared one of the solar energy trainees. “Not only did we deepen our understanding of the solar industry, but we also gained practical skills in areas like business registration, financial management, and marketing. This has truly empowered us to pursue our dreams of starting our own solar enterprises.”
